The Long Road is a walk which aims to raise vital funds and awareness for children in foster care. Many children in the care system often bounce from home to home, and to different schools which greatly hinders their learning. The Pyjama Foundation helps break the cycle of disadvantage experienced by Australia’s most vulnerable children by providing them one-on-one mentoring to develop their learning, life skills and confidence. Far too many foster children have been through enough trauma in their life - they have been down the long road, so it's time we take the Long Road for them. Fundraising helps the Pyjama Foundation recruit, screen, train and support community volunteers, known as ‘Pyjama Angels’ who help ignite a love of learning in children. The event will be held in locations including Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Sydney.
