Currently there are 43,000 children in care and it is estimated a staggering 75% of these kids will not finish schooling. The Pyjama Foundation aims to reverse this cycle of disadvantage by empowering children with learning, life skills and confidence to change the direction of their life. On Friday 17 July, join our biggest event of the year, national Pyjama Day, as hundreds of schools, workplaces and businesses swap their everyday get-up for Pyjamas to raise funds for children in foster care. All money raised will go towards giving a foster child his/her own special volunteer Pyjama Angel. These volunteers are recruited, screened and trained and then matched with a child in care to read books aloud, play educational games, support and mentor. Every donation counts!
