Each July, more than 250,000 committed participants join The Pyjama Foundation for the comfiest day of the year. Participants recruit their workplace, school, kindergarten or business and challenge one another to raise vital funds to support children in the foster care system.

Will you join us for our biggest year yet?

Currently, in Australia, there are more than 48,000 children in the foster care system. Of this number, more than 75 per cent won’t finish high school and 92 per cent sit below the average reading level.

The Pyjama Foundation’s Love of Learning program is working to change these statistics, supporting children with their own learning mentor, allowing them to reach their full potential.

Each volunteer costs The Pyjama Foundation upwards of $500 in order to recruit, screen, train and support them throughout their role as a learning mentor.

The Pyjama Foundation currently raises 83 per cent of its total funding in order to support children who need them the most. This year hosts particular challenges for fundraising but we are committed to supporting as many kids as possible in these uncertain times, so every bit counts!

When you register to participate in National Pyjama Day 2020, you are helping one more child realise their full potential in life despite a difficult start.
